( ooc: I thought this deserved an occ reply, I terribly sorry if this wasn’t what you were looking for. But I thought I should share to you and the rest who follow me.
By far, and I mean, by far do I possibly think that I am better than any other person/cosplayer. In fact I am probably the oddest England you would ever meet. I’m socially awkward yet I just want to befriend the world. I use a whole lot of Photoshop which only adds ‘quality’ to photos. Most of my cosplays are made of things I find home, in thrift stores and some that I try to sew myself.
I am far from being as good as anyone out there. In fact there are much more brilliant and talented cosplayers out there. Though. What I truly believe is that I am not better than anyone else, I want to be of equal to everyone.
To me. Even if you are anonymous, you are as brilliant, as good as I apparently am. And I do mean that!
Though, if you see me as encouragement to get better by all means! Anyone should give cosplaying a try and just cherish it, love it and enjoy it! That is, as England or any other character.
Nothing should stop you from what you say as ‘getting better’ if it is what you truly want. But, never, never, never let it put you down. Never let any one put you down.
Everyone is good with cosplay no matter what or who they are. It’s not about looking like some fake model who’s been airbrushed to the core by programs. It’s about cherish and embody a character you adore.
This goes out for everyone out there who ever thought lowly of their cosplays.
